Give me the basics.

Hi! I’m Dawn Richerson, CEO of Creative Revolutions Inc.  I founded Creative Revolutions Inc. in 1997. In the early years of my business, I focused on strategic marketing and communication services for corporate, nonprofit and small business clients, providing  revolutionary results by combining strategic thinking with creative execution.

I provide both Content Development, Brand Messaging and Copywriting Solutions as well as broader marketing solutions to VIP-level clients. I’m an accredited public relations practitioner (APR). In the mid-2000′s, as my business grew and evolved and I began to reclaim more of who I truly was, I developed a passion for working with startup entrepreneurs who were creating profitable, meaning-based movements of change. I now partner with creative, visionary and soul-inspired entrepreneurs to help them create whole businesses that begin with who they are, to cultivate their brand essence and crystallize their unique messages, then get visible and elevate their expert status.

I believe in following a spiritual business path. I’m the founder of the Make Your Healing Matter movement. I’m an author and publisher who also enjoys helping healers, coaches and change agents write their extraordinary books and position themselves as experts in their field.

What’s your background? What do you do when you’re not working?

In addition to my work through Creative Revolutions, I’m a writer and write and publish books on spirituality, healing and wholeness. Check out the blog here. I love to dabble with art, too. I’m a certified ARTbundance(tm) coach. I’m a proud graduate of the University of Georgia (Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, ABJ degree) — Go Dawgs! And I earned a master’s degree from Southern Seminary along the way. Today, I embrace the 7 wonders of the soul in my life and work — faith, hope, love, healing, growth, passion, beauty.

Dawn, why do you do so many different things?

This is one I get a lot, and it’s a fair question. All my life, I have had many diverse interests and passions. Somewhere along the way, I just quit squelching that and allowed it to be okay that I love to pursue a variety of passions simultaneously. And then I learned to bring it all together into a unified whole! On paper, the fact that I choose to pursue many passions, skills and interests to help other people and make a difference in the world seems a bit unfocused or unorganized. But because I consistently build a strong team, with the help of select partners and administrative services among others, each of these focus areas continues to grow and thrive.

The short answer to this question is that I love to explore, discover, create and launch again and again in my life. That’s what I teach others to do in all my work. I have learned through experimentation that I am personally happier and more effective in my work when I have several passions engaged. I draw on my full experience in each of my distinct passions. That said, my clients know that they will have my full attention when I am working with them or on a project for them. AND I know how to weave together strands of passions and gifts — including those hidden gifts that come from what I call your sacred wound — into beautiful and rewarding businesses.

OK. So what is it you offer to all of your clients – what’s your X Factor?

Great question. My clients tell me what sets me apart from other partners they work with is my ability to capture their vision in unique ways and help them create innovative and compelling businesses from the inside out. I have long combined strategic thinking with creative execution to deliver revolutionary results. Whether it’s holding a higher vision for a woman stepping forward boldly to become a powerful agent of change, helping to structure a new offer or outline a marketing campaign, ghostwriting or helping take a book from just begun to happy and done, I am able to synthesize lessons learned through experience with clients from a variety of industries and backgrounds, through my professional experience in the corporate and nonprofit worlds, and in my own business and everyday life. I then help my clients integrate their gifts, skills and passions to create a business that makes meaning, money and a difference and move vision into action and service.
